The newest iteration in the iconic Call of Duty franchise is now available on the Activision-Blizzard launcher. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes players back to the early 1980s to a world entrenched in the Cold War that features locations set in East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, and more. The system requirements have remained unchanged from Modern Warfare and Warzone which makes sense since the three titles are now tied together allowing players to earn experience simultaneously across them all. Similar to Modern Warfare, players will be able to customize their install file to include/exclude the different game types so hopefully your harddrive will still have some room for Cyberpunk in a few weeks.
Can my computer run Black Ops - Cold War?

The beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War is just around the corner (October 15 for PC), and in addition to that news, we now have official system requirements from the developers. Get your PC ready to dive into the newest iteration in the Call of Duty franchise with CanYouRunIt’s official system requirements test. Spoiler warning - the game won’t require you to buy a brand new hard drive just to install it like its predecessor, Modern Warfare. If you’re looking to play Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War on PC, you need a computer that can at least pass the minimum requirements test. In your GPU slot, you should arm your computer with at least a GeForce GTX 670 or a Radeon HD 7950 (with 2 GB of VRAM). These are actually the exact same as Modern Warfare, despite being built on an almost entirely different engine. For your CPU, you should have at least an Intel Core i5 2500k or its AMD equivalent (~AMD FX-6350). This Call of Duty will also run on Windows 7 and Windows 10 (64-bit systems only) and also requires a solid 8 GB of RAM. As mentioned earlier, the install size won’t hog all of your HD or SSD - you will only need 45 GB. At least you will only need 45 GB on day 1… The recommended system requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War are also very similar (basically the same) as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. We almost could have named the article “If you can run Modern Warfare, you’ll be able to run Cold War!” In case this is your first time dipping your toes in the Call of Duty ocean, or maybe you are returning after a hiatus, here are the specific recommended requirements you will need to pass if you want to run it on high settings. Make sure your video card is at least a GeForce GTX 970 or a Radeon R9 390. In the CPU slot, gamers will need at least an Intel Core i7 4770k or its AMD equivalent (~ AMD Ryzen 5 1600). Lastly, your rig is going to need 16 GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly when you crank those graphics settings up.July 27th, 2020 by JT Hussey
Thanks to leaks from a Doritos marketing campaign, from all places, we've got minimum requirements, recommended requirements, and system requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While the Activision/Doritos leak is rather sparse, we predict the minimum requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War are a GeForce GTX 960 or an Radeon R7 260 GPU. However these details are still limited so we recommend getting a GeForce GTX 1660 or an Radeon R9 390X GPU just to be safe and graphical stuttering on your pc. We've all had exposure to Call of Duty at some point, whether playing it in your parent's dungeon/basement or having futile arguments with fisherman over free COD. However, this new installment promises to tug on your nostalgia-strings following the misadventures of Alex Mason, Woods, and other lovable, morally dubious Black Ops characters. Make sure your computer meets the Blacks Ops specs so you can return to the good old days of Call of Duty and start shouting at some 8 year old that stole your kill in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
